09:00-11:00 Visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon or the Great Monastery of Auspicious Victory is located off the city island in the southeastern area of Ayutthaya.

The main bell-shaped chedi at Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon is one of the distinctive landmarks of Ayutthaya. Visitors can climb the steps that lead up to a platform for views over the temple complex. A rectangular gallery surrounds the chedi and is lined with dozens of stone Buddha images.

Then proceed to visitWat Maha That or the Monastery of the Great Relic is located on the city island in the central part of Ayutthaya in Tha Wasukri sub-district. The temple is situated on the corner of the present Chikun Road and Naresuan Road. Wat Mahathat offers the much photographed Buddha head, embedded into a tree trunk.
